Signs that your body’s storing more toxins that it can manage

Here are some signs that your body’s toxin levels may be a bit too high due to our lifestyle. You could see that many of the factors below are very much related to your digestive system.

1. Constant lethargy

If you feel tired, especially after meals, it could mean that your body’s digestive system is sluggish.  Factors that could contribute to it:

  • habit of taking cold/iced drinks especially with meals.
  • insufficient intake of fiber such as vegetable or fruits
  • high intake of fatty food, heavy meals, processed food- you make the body work too hard
  • insufficient exercise- sedentary lifestyle (physically inactive) causes everything in our body to be sluggish- toxins as the result of chemical byproducts and digestive process does not get removed and important nutrients does not get transported to the cells.
  • taking laxatives- it makes the peristalsis movement sluggish and in the long run, damages the digestive track

2. Constipation

Clearing our bowels daily is important- as the bowels are waste product that our body is looking to eliminate. If you do not take the time to clear your bowels everyday, take enough fiber and drink lots of water, you would suffer from constipation. Worse still, the body will reabsorb the toxins as it attempt to absorb water from the bowels, causing this toxins to be recirculated in your system.

3. Bloated tummy/flatulence/ undigestion/ acid reflux

If you constantly have that gassy feeling in your stomach and passing out gas discreetly, you would need to reaccess the diet that you take. Do you take too much of meat without sufficient fiber or carbohydrate? Personally, I do not think it is a good idea to adopt a high protein low carbs diet. This diet tend to cause a lot of flatulence and also bad breath.

4. Constant Bad breath

Bad breath is an indication of not only our oral health, but our digestive health as well. Especially if you brush your teeth properly and religiously but are still being told that you have bad breath- you will need to access your diet as well. Try drinking warm water on an empty stomach and eating 2 green apples/oranges/citrus fruits in the morning. Also take a mixture of good carbohydrates and protein- not a diet high in protein only.

5. Headaches/ Migraines

Headaches or migraines can mean anything. Until today, research is ongoing to determine the cause and ways to relief these painful conditions. Still, I seldom hear that a person who is physically active and eats a well balanced diet would suffer from migraines. I tend to notice that it occurs when associated with a stressful and demanding lifestyle, bad dietary choice (constantly on the go, so it is fast food), certain food allergies and lack of exercise. A friend of mine cannot take any cheese based product as it would give her a migraine attack- so she had learned to be very careful.

Today, I still get withdrawal symptoms if I do not take coffee by 11am- but on days that I am more relaxed and occupied with doing things that I love, it would probably be a mild headache or none at all.  So our stress levels and inner well-being do play a role. I noticed that somehow by just being physically active- doing cardio/aerobic exercises- when the circulation improves, headaches tend to be lesser or none at all. Sometimes I take a few sips of an isotonic drink like 100plus during a workout session break, I find that any mild headache I have will go off.

 

6. Allergic reactions or outbreak of rashes

If our body is healthy and our immune system is working in top order, we would be less prone to allergy attacks. Allergens surrounds us all the time- when we are healthy and strong, our body will fight them off. If our system is already overwhelmed by the toxins, we can see it in a form of more frequent reoccurance of allergy reaction and having rashes on our skin.

    Bad breath or halitosis can be easily elimated by using mouthwash with hexetidine or triclosan.:::
