Juice from Raw Papaya Leaf can Increase Platelet Count

Just last Christmas, my brother was nearly hospitalized due to suspected dengue. He was weak and his body temperature was alternating between high and very high with lots of coughing. His blood platelet count was low. At first, I took him to see the Chinese doctor to have his pulse taken. After taking the Chinese medicine, his temperature seemed to go down. But the moment he drank 100 plus (Isotonic drink), his temperature shot up and he was coughing quite badly.

The doctor said that if his platelet count does not improve, he would need to be admitted to hospital. My friends all recommended to take the juice from raw papaya leaf- I’ve actually published a post on this 2 years ago.

Therefore, what I did was to pluck a healthy looking papaya leaf, wash it clean and pounce the leaf in pieces. Then I squeezed the pounced leaf till the green juice came out. I gave him about 3/4 of a tablespoon of the raw papaya juice. The next day, when he went to do his blood test, the blood platelet went up to normal. I repeated it the next night and that was it, his fever was all gone.

Another thing is that because my brother is very active (he goes to the gym up to 5 or 6 times a week)- his body seemed to be able to recover faster. Being physically active makes a lot of difference in the time when you are not well- you can recover faster and ailments become less serious because your body is more efficient in delivering oxygen and nutrients and removing waste from the cells.  Recently I heard of someone who have just underwent a heart bypass surgery and suffered a host of complications from it till he had to remain in ICU- he was not physically active.

In this case the platelet level is constant but chronically low.
Some physicians who are updated on life-style medicine knowledge will probably see
many benefits in changing your diet. Let us suppose your platelets are in
the 43,000 range.
